Our hotel is just a few kilometres from Alberobello, the capital of the trulli which have become a national monument and a UNESCO world heritage site. The name of the town comes from Sylva Arboris Belli (war tree forest), that is an oak wood which formerly covered the whole area on which the enchanting town was later built. It is thought that Alberobello was founded in the 15th century by the Counts Acquaviva – D’aragona of Conversano.
The Grand Hotel is set in the natural countryside of the Apulian Murgia, where art, history and tradition blend in harmony. |
